5 Signs your style needs a midlife shakeup

You don’t need a new wardrobe — you need a new lens.

Here are 5 signs your style needs a midlife reboot:

  1. You rotate the same 3 outfits — and feel ‘meh’ in all of them.

  2. You dread getting dressed each day.

  3. You don’t recognise yourself in the mirror or photos anymore.

  4. You haven’t shopped in years (or only buy basics in black).

  5. You feel like style is for other people — younger people.

Let me say this: you deserve to feel like you again. Not the you from 20 years ago — the now-you.

Try this: pull out 5 things from your wardrobe that light you up. Doesn’t matter if you wear them every day. Start there. Make new combos, wear them on repeat.  Remember that piece you saved for good?  Wear it today, I double dare you!  If you need to “smarten it up” or “tone it down”, try a denim jacket (or relaxed type jacket) or blazer over the top.  Can pretty much guarantee you that those pieces can make any outfit work.  

Style isn’t about age. It’s about energy. And you’ve still got plenty of that. So let’s embrace some change and give ourselves a little midlife shake up.
